About Chris
“One of Chris’ greatest gifts is his ability to understand, on a profound level, the inner workings of human beings and of technology. He is a “geek” that easily connects with people, and he wields his innate skill and knowledge in ways that enhance all involved.”

I was a shy seventeen-year-old artist and all around one-of-a-kind young fellow living in Berkeley, California when I started to program computers.
After studying Modern Society and Social Thought at UC Santa Cruz, I graduated into the San Francisco recession of 1990, and found work monotonously filing papers and typing memos. Gradually, I found my way to programming computers again, and doing graphic design for the companies I was working for, and eventually on my own.
In 1994, I got a job through a friend at Autodesk, doing programming work officially, and designing online help systems. I had to learn how to design and code “hypertext” systems—before the web was popular. Later on, I learned how to design and code “web applications”—web sites that “do things,” and created sites for real estate searching, software bug tracking, and project management.
I have always been passionate about right livelihoodthe idea that we’re meant to do what we love, and create a life for ourselves that way. For a long time, that meant: working not as much, reading, and writing in my journal.
In 2004, I happened upon the Avatar Course, and that totally changed my life. Since then, I am the same person, but I have been more able to make the dream of helping people by doing what I love more of a reality.
When my friends Chery Klairwator told me that she and our friend Rich Bowdich were considering renting the space that was to become The Source, I was very excited, and reserved an office space there, where I am still situated.
“Chris has an excellent attention to details coupled with an eagerness to fully understand the problem and find the most appropriate, effecient solution. He is an excellent team member, but is also comfortable working on his own. He has a great sense of dedication, ethics, and humor, and I would gladly work with him again in the future.”

I decided to put my interest in marketing together with my skills in programming, design, and internet technology together to help people create web sites that can really empower their success doing what they love, providing more evidence that this is entirely possible.
I believe strongly that it’s possible to create a life that we love, around our friends, full of meaning, that’s not a life of poverty and “martyrdom,” but fun, meaning, and fulfillment. I believe that together, we’re creating that possibility into existence by doing it!
